  This place is awful. Sure, it's clean and the nurses and receptionist are nice enough, but the insane billing practices make it a headache you'll be dealing with for weeks or months down the road. I came here for an ultrasound as I had all the symptoms of a blood clot and wanted to rule this out as I would be traveling extensively for the next few weeks. They took my vitals and had to call in the ultrasound tech, who lived half an hour away. Understandable. So I sit waiting in a checkup room for 45 minutes while I can hear the staff loudly chattering away next door. The ultrasound tech shows up and we complete the ultrasound in 10 minutes. I wait alone, again, for another 15-20 minutes to hear back from the lab on the images. The images come back clear and they give me literature on muscle strains and sprains. The doctor (I think?) eventually wandered into my room, mumbled a few things about blood clots and how I didn't have one and walked out before I had finished asking questions. The best part was the bill I got later. I very clearly explained to them that I was uninsured at the time and would be self-paying. So imagine my surprise when I get a bill a few weeks later billed to my old insurance carrier through my old employer. Great job guys! So of course I call the facility and they tell me I personally have to contact corporate billing to correct their mistake. Wild goose chase to correct someone else's error. Fun! I called the number they gave me which didn't give me their corporate billing address but another company who provided me with the correct number. Eventually, after wasting hours of my own time and sending out emails to random people at UC Health who I thought could help, they 'fixed' my bill. Imagine my surprise when I receive a bill in the mail a week later for $2475.21. For a 5 minute vitals check and a 10 minute ultrasound. I get that it's an ER, but that's absolutely insane. Hope you guys can sleep well at night ripping people off like this. Received a separate, $894 bill for 'physician charges'. For the literally 5 minutes of the mumbling, completely useless doctor I 'saw'. So $3300 total for a 10 minute ultrasound, 5 minutes of vitals, and no more than 5 minutes with a doctor. I'll never go here again, even now that I have excellent health insurance. Even more, I'll make sure everyone I know avoids this place like the plague. Even if they happen to have the plague
