- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I am from Florida and I am on a road trip over the summer, so I decided to stop by at a dentist in Colorado Springs. I went to Crossroads dentistry, because I had toothache and needed a dental exam and cleaning, just a simple cleaning nothing special. I got an appointment. First I met the dental hygienist Mari, she made a lot of x-rays and checked the depth of my pockets. I was wondering after I got the results, actually all of my teeth shown up very deep pockets. I went to my dentist in Florida 6 months ago and got actually fair results for my pockets, far away what I got at Crossroads dentistry. I asked Mari for a cleaning, but she denied, because my pockets were to deep for a regular cleaning she said. She tried sell a special periodontal cleaning to me, what I denied. I always got my tooth cleaned from my dentist, this was a strange experience. After that I met Dr. Tyng and asked him also for a cleaning, he also wanted to sell a special periodontal cleaning to me and in the same time several crowns as well, he gave me his quote after our 5 minutes conversation ( a couple thousand dollars)!!?? He had no idea how to help me with my toothache I had that day, I went out after paying my x-rays with toothache and without cleaning. A day later I saw another dentist in Colorado Springs, got my toothache fixed and my teeth cleaned. They checked the depth of my pockets and the measurements were exactly the same (fair condition) my doctor in Florida figured out 6 months ago!!! They did not understand why I should get so many crowns, there is no reason for that, they told me. I don't know why the reviews here are pretty good, I can't recommend Crossroads dentistry, because I felt very bad and unfair treated.September 29, 2017by Thomas Johns
